Custom workstation delivered. We also installed the adjustable monitor mount that will float three 24″ monitors above the surface.

Instead of a couch, I’m going with these theater seats. Shipment just came today.

Room will have heavy, solid door. Important for sound isolation. (I need to block the sound of Mike Barry screaming at his TV when the Rangers are losing. His room is across the hallway.)

I am having a custom desk built for me by Robert Beijer. He does amazing work, and has designed workstations for numerous composers here in Los Angeles. Here is a pic of the work in progress:

Here is the color scheme I am going with. Unfortunately it won’t be as ‘electric’ green as depicted in these iPhone pics.

I am excited to announce that I will be moving my studio to join the group of composers over at Sonic Fuel Studios. It is going to rock! In the coming days/weeks I will post updates related to my new composing lair. To see how things progress with the studio as a whole, click on the image.

At Cinesamples, we sampled a group of 12 horns for the new CineBrass PRO library coming out this Fall. Many of the horn players are first call guys, along with some incredible new young players. The sound was amazing. We positioned the players in the center of the room, in a half semi circle. This was great, because it allowed all the players to see each other, and also allowed for a nice wide sound.
